OakClock

Privacy policy

This policy applies to the OakClock app for Android and iOS and to this website. In short: OakClock does not collect any personal data.

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Data stored on your device

To work, the app saves your alarms: time, repeat days, label, chosen sound, snooze and gradual volume settings.

This information stays only on your phone. It is never sent to a server, to us or to any third party. It is deleted when you uninstall the app.

No collection, no tracking

OakClock requires no account and uses no internet connection. The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no trackers and no third-party data collection SDK.

The nature sounds are bundled with the app: playing them sends no information anywhere.

Permissions requested

The app only asks for the permissions it needs to wake you up:

  • Notifications: to show the alarm and its stop button.
  • Exact alarms and full screen (Android): to ring right on the minute and turn the screen on.
  • Alarms / AlarmKit (iOS 26 and later): to ring a backup alarm even if the app is closed.
  • Background and boot (Android): to reschedule your alarms after the phone restarts.

These permissions serve no other purpose and give no access to any of your data.

Sharing with third parties

We do not share, sell or rent any data, since we do not collect any.

The app is downloaded through Google Play or the App Store, which may process some data under their own privacy policies (Google, Apple).

Children

OakClock does not collect any data, including from children under 13.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, and no fonts or scripts loaded from a third-party service. Our host may temporarily keep technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security purposes.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and erase your data. As we hold no data about you, your alarms are fully under your control: edit or delete them in the app, or uninstall it.

You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or your local authority.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its update date.
